Reducing Emission through improved Cookstoves

The project aims to improve the quality of life for households in Uganda, by providing energy-efficient cooking stoves to households in the various districts.
First to obtain an LOA from the Designated National Authority
Improved Cookstoves and Energy Saving Cooking Equipment
Key Data Points:
- 200,000 households Located in, Uganda
- Duration – 5 years + 5 years
- Status – LOA received, Project fully registered and certified on Gold Standard Registry (GS: 13031)
Environmental & social impact:
- Reduce deforestation, and indoor air pollution
- Employ, train and manage local team of women only for the project’s establishment and maintenance
- Alleviate poverty and improve the livelihoods of residents in the district
- Project Stoves are distributed free of charge to households in exchange for the Carbon rights.
